Consultation Tips

  • Offer a free consultation to you clients interested in the service. Fill out a consultation form each time.

  • Give a Homecare sheet to each client receiving the service. Take time to discuss all questions.

  • Protect yourself with a guarantee of payment form.

  • Train all your hairdressers, not just one, to perform the service.

  • A non-refundable deposit is recommended of at least 50% to cover ordering hair.

During the consultation, the following items should be discussed:

  • How does the client want to wear her finished style? What are her styling abilities?

  • How long does she want the finished look to be? Order hair 1-2 inches longer than needed.

  • Match the color with color ring or add highlights.  

  • How much hair does the client have and what texture is necessary?  

  • Recommendations for product use at home.  

Important Points To Remember:

  • Does the client have an oily scalp? Some client are not candidates for Flash Trax and other methods.

  • Caution clients about using silicone or oil based products on or near attachments.  

  • Never apply Flash Trax or any other method just after pregnancy, during chemo or radiation therapy.

  • Avoid intense heat situations such as saunas, steam rooms, tanning beds etc.

  • Excessive shampooing can shorten the life of the attachment bond.
