  Step 3:

  Pick up a thin layer of hair approximately two inches
  wide at the mark line.  Make sure that you pick up only
  a thin layer of hair during this part of the process.

                                                                           Step 4:

Twist slightly and pin it below your mark line,
away from the crown of the head.
